Healthy Eating Week

It's healthy Eating Week here at Potters Green. We have already started cooking healthy foods. Year 4 have attached a very healthy flapjack recipe to this post. They got it from the web site of one of the major supermarkets. We have been thinking about what makes a balanced diet and have been planning our pizza recipes for the Cookathon on Friday 19th March too.

If you can't eat nuts then why not exchange them for extra fruit in the year 4 recipe; and if you don't like fruit why not exchange it for more nuts and seeds.

Do you have any great, healthy recipes that you could share with us? If you do you could email them to Miss Mason in Year 4-she will add as many as possible to the site for every one to try.

All aboard... Year 4 will be investigating maps, journeys, different countries and civilizations this term. We will also be finding out about different explorers too.

We had a great time at Berkswell. Some people are going back to visit the museum when it opens. There is a great contrast between life in villages like Berkswell and city life that we experience in Coventry.

Year 4 found out something that Berkswell Village is famous for. Do you know what it is?

Aspiration Fridays are a chance for you to share information about your job and what it took to get there. See the attached letter for more information.

      In the Spring Term Year 3 will be learning all about the animal kingdom. As part of the topic they will be taking trips to the farm and the zoo. They will be writing reports about the animals they research too.

Water, water everywhere... Year 5 will be finding out all about one of the Earth's most precious resources. There is more to water than you might think. All this and Morning of Music too!

In the Spring Term Year 6 will be looking at Britain since the 1930s. In particular they will be looking at changes in everyday life from before World War 2 to the post war era. Keep watching this space for an update on their progress.
